Remote Test Racks

Task:

The objective of the project was the remote control of test racks in any destination country. The preferably fully remote controllable platforms should reduce the growing number of test racks in central development divisions and save expenses for extensive country-specific testing.

Content:

  • Remote control of all operating units of the test platform and customer operating units (e.g. volume control) by remote-enabled simulation environments
  • Control by webcam, frame grabber, audio transmission and live trace displays
  • Robust remote maintenance: power supply control; software update for ECUs
  • Reservation system for access to the test platforms in various countries

Result:

Fully functional test platforms are in operation in numerous countries. They reduce expenses for country-specific testing significantly.
